Effulgence Tech is a web design and digital marketing agency, also offering AWS cloud computing training and consulting. We’re looking for a skilled Web Developer Intern to join our team for a 3-month training program. Interns in this role will primarily support internal company projects, with the opportunity to contribute to live client projects as well.
About the Role
As a Web Developer Intern, you’ll build and maintain websites using WordPress, our agency’s primary development platform. You’ll work closely with our design and marketing teams to bring projects to life, gaining real-world experience in both internal and client-facing web development work.
What You’ll Do
- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and landing pages
- Work with page builders (e.g. Elementor, WPBakery, or similar) and custom themes/plugins
- Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and plugin conflicts
- Implement responsive, mobile-friendly designs from provided mockups
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and basic security best practices
- Assist with website updates, content uploads, and ongoing maintenance
- Collaborate with designers and marketers to ensure sites align with brand and campaign goals
- Support select client web projects under guidance from senior developers
What We’re Looking For
- Solid working knowledge of WordPress (themes, plugins, and basic customization)
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript/PHP (a strong plus)
- Understanding of responsive design principles
- Experience with page builders like Elementor or similar tools
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Open to anyone with the relevant skills, regardless of educational background
